Dark circles are caused by a disturbance in blood circulation and a lymphatic tissue imbalance. The lymph is responsible for tissue drainage and contributes to the elimination of pigments grouped under the skin. This disruption causes these pigments to accumulate and colour the epidermis, which then takes on a blue/brown tint.
